Making Witchy Rose Oil

Rose oil is one of the most expensive oils in the world to buy for two simple fact's 1. Roses themselves are expensive, 2. it takes many Roses in order to produce even a small amount of quality Essential Oil, 

There are a number of ways in which to extract Essential Oil from a Rose the one i will be discussing here is in my opinion one of the best for a number of reasons the major being that you stand a better chance that the oil is free of additives and harmful chemicals and in many cases this oil would be more suitable for human ingestion,

Why would anyone want to eat Rose oil? Well Rose oil contains certain drugs which have been used for centuries for many purposes I'm not going to go into them all here and I suggest you study up before you begin experimenting many Essential Oils can be dangerous to work with and can even kill you!,

Lets see what you will need for this project,

First you must locate some Rose bushes you can use any color you want but i recommend Red Roses, make sure that they are in good shape and are healthy looking, don't chose one that looks like it is dying because the amount of Oil would be less than those of a healthy plant,

Remember Essential Oil is the Blood of the plant and the life force so take care to chose the right one's,

Next walk up the the Rose bush and feel the petals are they oily to the touch? do they smell good to you? If the answer is yes in both cases you have found a suitable plant,

Before you pick the Rose petals i suggest thanking the spirit of the plant/plants and preforming a small ritual, You will have to rely upon one from your own Path as what works for me might not necessarily be a good one for you,

Now at this point you can either pick the rose petals or take the whole flower, I suggest you take the whole flower using a magical knife for this purpose if you do not have one use what ever you want, I suggest taking about 20 Flowers you might very well have to harvest more than one Rose bush,

Next repeat the Prayer/Ritual to thank the spirit of the plant/plant's,

Now that you have about 20 usable rose flowers you need to pick the petals off one by one and add them into a small to medium size Jar or Cauldron if you have one with a lid,

Finally acquire some extra virgin Olive oil and pour some on top of the Rose petals just enough to wet them all, Don't add too much!

Mix them around with your projective hand and then close the jar, wash your hands after you are done this will make a mess if you are not careful,

Let this set in a warm place outside until the following day,

Now place a piece of cheese cloth or other clean cloth into your hand and add a few of the petals at this point they should be really oily and delicate,

Next hold your hand over another Jar or container and squeeze like you have never squeezed before you should be seeing what looks like blood dripping from your hand this is the Rose oil, Discard pressed petals and let this new oil settle into the new jar mixed with the extra virgin olive oil in which we used to extract it,

Repeat these last few steps until you have milked all the Rose Oil from all the petals,

Now after about an hour go to the new jar and look at it, if the Rose oil is separated from the Olive oil and is sitting in what looks like a blood clot you are good to move to the next step,

Get a large spoon and start skimming the Olive oil off the surface repeat this over and over until you have nothing but the deep Red oil left at the bottom of the jar,

Get a small clean vile and a fill it with the Rose Oil,

Congratulations you are done,
