Life, Magick, Choices: Presented By Tolchock33
Merry Meet,
Ok, you may be asking yourself, what are you talking about in this subject line Tol? You're going to get deep with us aren't ya? Well let me explain. Kick back and get comfy because this may be a long one. Everything in life is magickal. Everything is of a spiritual nature. Every choice we make has a impact on us, on others and on the universe as a whole. Every action causes a reaction. And every reaction causes another action. And so the ripple effect goes on and on and on. We make choices everyday of our lives. Whether or not to eat. Whether to get out of bed or stay in bed, etc. Almost every action is made by a decision or by choice. Sometimes we do think about our actions and deal with them appropriately. Sometimes we do not take heed and jump in without looking. The latter is where we run into problems. By not thinking about our decision and acting, or reacting, we cause things to happen that can spiral out of control. By making a decision in haste, on the spur of the moment is folly and is harmful not only to us but to others around us. And then the reactions start, and when they come into play, we can no longer control the energy we have set into motion. Thus causing the ripple effect throughout the universe. Everything is made of energy. As the Kybalion states "Everything Moves, Everything Vibrates." Is movement and vibration not energy? Our brains are made of energy, such as our bodies and spirits are made of energy also. Now we know energy can be used for good or bad. It is confined within the intent or lack there of. Take the use of the Atomic Bomb in World War 2. The intent of it's use was to stop the war. That intent was met with a very high price. Nuclear fallout still plagues the people of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It's residual effect will be present for thousands of years. Now was the price of dropping the bomb worth the effect? Was the intent of the use of this energy appropriate? That depends on the person who is looking at the situation. To some it was a good thing. Others the japanese, wouldn't agree that this was good. Back then, no one really had a idea of how radiation would effect mankind or the planet. Sometimes decisions, or choices are made without knowing the full spectrum of what the final outcome may be. This is not entirely bad if one remembers to take full responsibility for their actions. The real problem seems to arise when we do not take that responsibility. Now let me pose this question. Would you work on the electrical wiring in your house without knowing what you were doing? I would hope to think that you wouldn't. Too many things can happen by not knowing what you're doing. The same goes with magick for it is the same as electricity, It is energy!!!! In the beginning, you go by a guide. Either by someone teaching you or by a book on the subject. You are given a set way of doing things until you learn what should and should not be done. Once you have learned the proper way of doing things such as conducting energy, manifesting it, grounding it, etc, you learn to take short cuts but you always have to remember to respect the energy. If you do not respect the energy that you are working with, it can and probably will turn around and bite you. I certainly wouldn't change a wall receptacle without first turning off the circuit breaker to it and making sure I was well grounded!!!!! If I didn't turn off the breaker and did not have myself grounded I could shock myself and that hurts and to say the least is not fun!!!!! This applies to magick as well. Focus is very important as well. Without focus the way things work and their outcomes will not be as we desire. I wouldn't work with electricity if I was drunk, high or extremely tired. Too many mistakes can happen. The same applies to magick. Everything in life is magick, whether we choose to see it or not, it is. Well, I have rambled on for quite awhile today so I shall stop and let you digest this for awhile. Remember, take your time, think about your decisions, your actions and reactions. Think about the possible repercussions. Try not to do anything in haste. Most of all, remember to be true to yourselves and then you can be true to others as well.
