Tupac's Enemies

Bad Boy Records:

The Beef with Bad Boy started after the New York Shooting. First Tupac thought that Biggie and Puffy set him up. Tupac said that in jail people told him that Biggie set him up. Tupac later thought that Biggie and Puffy knew about the shooting but did not warn him. Tupac said that he could not believe while in jail that People were treating Biggie like the biggest star in the world. Tupac said on in his own words that Biggie stole his style so Tupac changed his album Me against the world. Biggie used West coast Beats and sounds. Tupac was also mad after being caught with 4 guns in his room. Tupac said they were Biggies guns and he ran when he heard the police were downstairs. Tupac did not tell the police that they were not his Guns

Notorious B.I.G. (Biggie Smalls):

They were once good friends & Pac was claimed to be the source of Biggie's fame and riches. Tupac would do performances with BIG to assist BIG in his struggling career to be known as a rap star. When Pac was shot in the Manhattan Studio in NY, he claimed that Biggie was aware that the shooting would take place, but failed to give him full information. Their friendship was later worsened when BIG released an album that was remarkably similar to Pac's upcoming album, which resulted in Tupac re-recording the entire new album. Pac also mentioned that Biggie was "rapping about my life" when he was rapping about the cash, jewelry and assets he did not really have.

Puff Daddy (Puffy):

Tupac had problems with Puffy, as he believed he was the mastermind behind the NY shooting. Other (and a more simpler) reasons were because he was down with Bad Boy Records, and he was "fake" or unoriginal, as he did not make his own lyrics or music. Some words of retaliation include: "Puffy weaker than a fucking block I'm running you nigga..." - Hitemup

Mobb Deep:

This beef started when Tha Dogg Pound released New York, New York. Mobb Deep took offense to that and with Tragedy and Capone N Noreaga (two other NYC artists) they released LA, LA. There were 2 versions and one version used that same beat and in both versions the chorus was the same as from NY, NY except for a little change at the end. Now Tupac took offense to that and that's why he dissed Mobb Deep. The only thing I know Mobb Deep to have said before Tupac released Hit 'Em Up was in an article from Rap Sheet when they were discussing the East/West Coast beef with artists from both sides Mobb Deep said the way Tupac turned on NY was wrong and said they would buy a Snoop album but they would never buy another Tupac album. I think Havoc might have said this. Also, in the "Thug Immortal" interview, Tupac described why he didn't like Mobb Deep. He said that before he went to prison, he was cool with them. Then when his West Coast crew came to NY to Mobb Deep's concert, Mobb Deep ignored them. He said his crew tried to meet up with them after the show yelling "Thug Life", but they dissed them. What made Tupac even madder was that one of the guards he knew in prison also knew Mobb Deep, so after Tupac told the guy to tell Mobb Deep that his boys were coming, he took it as an insult when they dissed them. Then Tupac came out with Hit 'Em Up...called Prodigy out about his sickle cell anemia and that's when Mobb Deep responded with Drop A Gem On 'Em which appeared on their new album. Since Tupac's death, Mobb Deep has shown a lot of respect for him though.

Chino XL:

This is the album that dissed everyone including Whitney Houston, Eddie Murphy and of course Tupac. In keeping up with his tradition, Tupac retaliated: "..Chino XL, fuck you too. All you mother fuckers, fuck you too!" - Hitemup. It is believed that Chino XL's comments was only there to create publicity and make him a well known rapstar, but this scheme was obvious, so Tupac didn't mention his name too many times as this would only create a name for Chino XL.

Dr Dre:

This was kind of a strange rivalry because Tupac and Dre were thought to be close especially after California Love. I have heard three points of view on this though. Tupac says it was because Dre wasn't doing anything at Death Row and was taking credit for other people's work. Tupac didn't like him for this and also for the fact that Dre never appeared at Snoop's trial to support him although it seems that Tupac was more upset over this than Snoop. Dre never really commented on it except he said that Tupac and him never hung out and Tupac didn't know him so he shouldn't be dissing him. The final story on this was really shocking and came from Suge Knight in an interview, which can be seen, on the Thug Immortal video. Suge Knight doesn't name names but he basically says that Dre is gay and that Tupac didn't want him to be a part of Death Row because Dre had a lover working for him while he was married with children. I suggest watching this interview for the full story but this is consistent with Tupac calling him gay on several songs. Specific quotes included "that nigga sittin' up in his mansion suckin' dick, eatin' pussy" plus in a number of his songs he says stuff like "we shook Dre punk ass, now we out of the closet" and "check your sexuality it's fruity as this alize" along with "California Love Part II without gay ass Dre."

Nas:

Tupac thought that Nas was taking his style. Nas`s song Sweet dreams sounds like All eyez on me. Nas also has affiliations with Bad Boy and has worked with Dr Dre

Dan Quayle:

Dan Quayle was the vice-president; he said Tupacs album 2Pacalypse now has no place in our society during an election campaign.

Jay-Z:

Jay-Z dissed Tupac in the song Brooklyn's finest featuring The Notorious B.I.G. Jay-z and Biggie were good friends. Jay-z appeared on many Bad Boy albums. Tupac dissed Jay-Z back on the song "Bomb First".

LL Cool J:

LL cool J dissed Tupac in a B-side called "I shot ya". It was like a reply to Biggies "Who Shot ya". L L Cool J praised Mobb Deep for dissin Tupac. Tupac dissed L L Cool J on the unreleased song "little homiez"

Fugees:

Tupac dissed The Fugees on The unreleased song "when we ride on our enemies"

Da Brat:

Tupac dissed Da Brat in the unreleased song "when we ride on our enemies"

Wendy Williams:

Wendy Williams is from the radio station Hot 97 in New York City, she spread the rumor that Tupac was raped in jail. Tupac dissed her in the unreleased song "Why u turn on me"

C. Delores Tucker:

She filled a $10million lawsuit against Tupac; she claimed lyrics on Tupacs album "All eyez on me" affected her sex life. Tucker called Tupacs music pornographic smut. Tupac mentioned her on 3 songs, how do you want it, wonder why they call u bitch and picture me Rollin.

No Limit Records:

No Limit were not enemies when Tupac was alive. After his death they did a tribute album to 2Pac. Master P did a song called RIP 2Pac, but they had not met him. Master P bought some of Tupac's songs including when we ride on our enemies and started using the songs as if they made them. C Murder made a song almost exactly the same as when we ride on our enemies. Master P also uses the same song Titles as 2Pac such as Dear Mr. President and recently Hail Mary. Tha Outlawz and Yukmouth dissed No Limit on the song Still Ballin. And now C-Bo has dissed Master P and No Limit on the song Still Ridin' with Captain Save 'em. The song is on the compilation Bay Area Players 2 and samples Ambitionz az a Ridah.

DMX:

Was never dissed by Tupac but DMX dissed Tupac. On the original version of Get at Me Dog that was not on his album DMX said

"That Nigga 2Pac can suck my Dick, then i'll take all the niggaz on the westcoast"
