Best quote: "Be silent! And keep your forked tongue behind your teeth! I did not pass through fire and death to bandy crooked words with a witless worm!" - Gandalf Stormcrow
"A new power is rising. Its victory is at hand. This night the land will be stained with the blood of Rohan! March to Helm's Deep! Leave none alive! To war!" - Sauruman
In the second instalment of The Lord of the Rings trilogy by director Peter Jackson, we find Sam (Sean Astin) and Frodo (Elijah Wood) alone, on their way to Mordor, to mount Doom to destroy the ring of power.
We also have Merry and Pippen, also separated from the fellowship, who escape captur and try to meet up with thier friends.
Meanwhile, Arragorn (Vigo Mortensen) Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli (John Ryse-Davies) make their way to King Theoden's palace (With the returned-from-the-dead Gandalf [Ian McKellen]) where they must ask for help in defeating the Dark Lord's forces.
Eventually, Frodo and Sam Meet up with the creature Gollum, who only wants the ring that twisted him back, but yet manages to keep calm and cool while he plots his next moves to snatch back "his precious."
There is a finally all-or-nothing battle at Helm's Deep, Good vs. Bad, and the winner will decide the fate of Middle Earth.
Again, this is the best movie trilogy ever made. The Two Towers is filled with action and adventure; more than Fellowship, but not as much as Return of the King.
The battle scenes will blow your mind; the graphics are uncomparable, and then there is Andy Serkas, who plays Gollum. He did and outstanding job as Gollum and was snub by the Academy.
What more can one say?
Plot:

You must have seen the first film to understand what is happening because it picks up right where the first left off. However, there is nothing outher than that to loose Two Towers any points.
Visual Effects:

The battle scenes will blow your mind. Simply amazing; incomparable to anything ever shot.
Sound:

The score is just as good as the first film, probably better.
Character Development:

Atmosphere:

You NEVER leave middle earth once you enter. You're stuck there.
Realism:

Realism doesn't even play a part. The movie too damn good.
Warrens Rating:

Other movies nominated for Best Picture with it:
*Chicago, (2002); Gangs of New York, (2002); The Hours, (2002); The Pianist, (2002)
