OREGON HIGHWAY 36

YARD and CRAFT SALE



23, 24 and 25 of JUNE 2006





This 52 mile long yard and craft sale will run the whole distance of Oregon Hwy 36, from it's starting point at the junction with OR Hwy 126 at Mapleton,Oregon, to it's ending point on US Hwy 99N just south of Junction City, Oregon. The date is 24,25,and 26 of June 2006 for the third annual sale.
This yard and craft sale was patterned after the US Hwy 127 Yardsale in KY,TN,GA,AL, the world's longest yard sale. The Hwy 36 yard and craft sale will run the last full weekend in June each year.







Norm Harberts, owns this wonderful Caddie, Larry Buckles of Buckles Signs of Junction City,OR, made the sign, so he advertizes every where he goes. Good job Norm, Thank-you.


The 2005 SALE did really well, we had people from Grants Pass, Bend and Portland visit the sale, so we working hard to make the 2006 SALE bigger and better. If you want to set up a sale or you have a yard or field on Hwy 36 that your willing to share please call Nancy at 998-8343 or Tricia at 927-3332. We would like to see all the churches, fire stations, grange halls and schools close to Hwy 36 to participate.



The 2004 SALE was a whopping success, more than we dreamed. Charlotte Crawford of Springfield, OR was a first day shopper who found a real buy , a $20 toaster which she cleaned up and put on Ebay, it was a 1939 Toast-O-Lator by the Crocker-Wheeler Toaster Co. and sold for $5,100.99. Now that's a buy.



New for 2006 sale, the Cheshire Dari Mart RELAY FOR LIFE team is holding a BOOK SALE at the Dari Mart during the yardsale week-end with all the booksales proceeds going to the RELAY FOR LIFE. We're asking others who are having sales that week-end to donote proceeds for their book sales to the Dari Mart Relay for Life team.

The Steering Committee's next meeting is every Thursday at 5:00 pm, at the Eat At Joe's Cafe,22527 Hwy 36 in Lowpass, OR. Contact number 998-8343 or 927-3332. If you would like to help organize, have a part in anyway, do come to the next meeting, we want this to be a community affair.
