This is my story, I have acually witnessed a black panther my self. In May of 2000 at approximately 11pm at night. My wife and I were returning home after visiting my wifes mother. We were driving throught the Adelaide Hills on the Strathalbyn road heading towards Mt Barker. We were about 8 kms out of Mt Barker and I had my high beam head lights on when a large black cat ran across the road in front of the car. The animal ran out from a row of trees on the side of the road ran across the road and diappeared in the darkness. The animal was approximatly 80cms (31 inches) high, 150cms (5ft.) long. It was jet blackand ran the same way a demestic cat would run.
Unforturately my wife was asleep and did not see the animal.
The president of the paranormal group I was previously with, which I am no longer a member of made some phone calls about the sighting and found out there had been quite a few sighting of big cats through out the Adelaide Hills. He rang Different goverment departments and the Adelaide zoo and got no comment. They do not want to talk about it. |
