| RUSSIAN LAKE MONSTERS |
| Russia to has it's own monsters mainly witnessed on lakes and water ways. An interesting aspect to most of the sightings I am going to write about is that they were witnessed by scientists. Russian scientist Mr. Gladkika got up early in the morning and was enjoying the scene of the tranquillity at the isolated lake Khaiyr in Yanski area of Yankutuk. The tranquillity was frightfully broken by a huge jet-black creature with a long neck and small head feeding on grass around the lake. Gladkika ran for his live to alert the head of the expedition which he was on that were looking for mineral deposits. When they returned the creature had retreated back to the lake. The only bit of evidence left behind seemed to be impressions on the grass. Several days later the chief of the expedition and two of his lietenants saw the creature as it rose in the centre of the lake Both eyewitness acounts reported that the creature had a dorsal fin. The scientist looking for some sort of explanation thought it must be some sort of extinct species of aquatic reptile the Icthyosaur. Although the discription they gave was a bit confusing because the scientists described a Plesiosaur. The lake is so isolated that very few people ever go there so further sighting have been dismally few. A geologist had reported an encounter on lake Voronta, a ominous looking grey shape. It's body resembled an oversized, glisting, tin-barral with a slanted horn rudder on its back. Another scientist reported seeing the creature on lake Voronta. The geologist V.A Tverdokhlebov and another assistant saw the creature in perfect weather conditions on a very smooth lake in July 1953. The creature was dark grey in colour and about ten metres long, two metres wide and on its head could be seen two dark coloued patches. The creature had a dorsol fin that was facing backwards. The creature was reported to locomoting like a dolpine. About hundred metres from the shore it beban to splash wildly in the water, then diving under water and disappearing. Two Italians reporters visited lake Labynkr in 1964, they were informed that group of hunters had watched in disbelieves a deer they were chasing and a dog they had sent afterwards disappeared under the surface. A large black monster then appeared to break the surface of the water made a strange sound before sinking beneath the water. Later that year A large expedition was sent to lake Labynkr, they were divided in to three teams. The first two teams were unsuccessful in spoting the monster. The third team did sight three large objects some three hundred metres of shore. Attempting to film the object failed and they did not know whether it was three objects or one large object that they had witnessed. The objects or creatures then submerged and reppeared in synchronisation. So we are left to ponder whether it was a single or multiple animals. In 1997, on lake Brosno north of Moscow was the sight of a large unknown creature which terrified the lakeshore dewellers as it swam close to the local settlements. The Russian lake monsters are different to other creature around the world, especially with the dorsol fin on the back, and that they have been reported feeding on the shore. They have all so been reported seen in groups. Some have said that they are fresh water dolphine, but the size of the creatures and that they have been reported out of the water dismisses that idear. These monters could be Russias own version of the Loch Ness Monster |
