Is it possible to create a ghost from our subconsios mind? There was an experiment done by a group of Canadian parapsychologists in the early 1970s They wanted to create an artifical ghost using imagination and visualization. The group consisted of eight people of which none were psychically gifted. The group fabricated a person that never existed.They named him Philip and gave him an identity of both physical appearance and personal history. The group would meditate and try to visualize Philip. They did this for twelve months but very little happened so they changed the way they conducted the sessions to a short meditation followed by joke telling, the singing of songs and talked about Philip. Within weeks the group established communication with Philip where he would give yes and no answers with raps on the table. They asked him questions about his fictitous life, if he new the answer he would tap but if someone in the group asked a question which was out of Philip's reality he would not be able to answer the question and would make a scratching sound. Although on occasions Philip would give historically accurate information about real people and events, the group thinks that the information came from their own collective subconsciousness. This was considered a very successful experiment and there has been a book written about it.
