The question why is it that some people can sense or see a ghost and others can not. Children seem to sense what many adults can not. A theory is that a young childs mind has not had years of conditioning, it is fresh and does not question every thing he/she feels or sees. Adults train them self's to live in lodgical world, if they see, sense feel, hear something they egnore it or put it down to their imagination.
Some children have invisable friends, have people visit them in there bed rooms, and have bad dreams. Alot of the time it is their imagination , but there are the rare occations it may not be. I think it would be a good idear for parents not to tell there child straight away that the invisable friend does not exist but to get the child to describe in detail what they see and what the they talk about and when the invisable friend comes to play or if it visits the child at night. If the child has a bad dream try to get the child to talk about it and keep count of how many dreams the child may have and if it is the same type of dream repeated. I was involved in an interview of an eledged haunting. One of the interesting parts of the interview was there were two children sitting in the lounge room talking to an imaginal friend, interesting that both children were talking to the invisable friend just like it was a real person. The mother came in to ask the two girls some thing, the girls told their mother "not to interupt the man, that he was speaking".
As children get older they start to condition their minds, they get told it's their imagination, their friends will laugh at them, they will be come out casts, they get teased by other children and there is logic and science. There is always a small group of children who dont get effected by the mind conditioning and grow up very receptive to the paranormal and become psychics, mediums or just have an open mind to the paranormal and there are the people that become paranomal researchers and investigators.
