The main object "put on an amazing light show" with red bolts of lighting shooting up from the centre.

Although the three men had a large amount of camping equipment on the ground, they opted for flight, at which point they claim they were "noticed" by the large object.

The patterns of light changed, Peter Kotasano said.
"The whole car around us lit up like daylight as we were hearding back towards Lyndhurst," he said.

Steve Michael said during his interview with the UFO investigator: "Lightning rods shot up from the ball and at least twice lights of the magnificent power came out - it lasted for several minutes as we sat in front of it.

"Its scale was really impossible to say as the whole thing looked like a picture screen and lasted for 20 minutes."

The third man simultaneously suffered nose bleeds.
Several weeks later the men were put intouch with UFO Research in South Australia and for more than a hour the two prime eye-witnesses recounted their sighting and produced individual scketches.

Adelaide UFO research veteran Colin Norris claims the bona fides of all three men check out.
"These guys were men well-acquainted with the outback," Mr. Norris said.

"They had travalled dozens of times into this region.
"They were genuinely terorised by what had happened and left a quantity of expensive equipment out there. Their discriptions and account and drawings were all done with out prompting."

Last month, two other significant encounters occured near Roxby Downs and on the New South wale, Hays Plains
