The Game Gear may bring more to the table than the Game Boy in some aspects, but it left quite a bit in the
toybox. You're going to need plenty of power for this amazing color gameplay, and all of that power is a
heavy burden to carry. Also the screen magnifier. And the Master Gear Converter. Here are the Game Gear
accessories I've picked up.

GAME GEAR BATTERY PACK
|
|
|
Game Gear Battery Pack
Manufacturer: Sega
Model: 2105
Type: Battery pack
The Game Gear Battery Pack attaches to your belt or waistband with tension-based clip, and uses a lengthy cord to
connect to the Game Gear itself. It can be recharged, even during play, with a Sega MK 2103 AC adapter. This
adapter comes with the Game Gear and the Sega Genesis model 2, in case you don't want to buy a spare.

SEGA POWERBACK
|
|
|
Sega PowerBack
Manufacturer: Sega
Model: 2142
Type: Battery pack
The Sega PowerBack attaches to the rear of the Game Gear by means of a screw, and plugs into its DC power jack.
This way, the battery pack practically never has to be removed, if you don't mind the already large Game Gear
gaining even more mass and volume. Hope your cargo shorts have massive pockets. The PowerBack is recharged with
the Sega MK 2103 AC adapter, the same variety used for the Sega Genesis 2. As always, be careful with battery
packs. Don't store them in hot places, or anywhere that may experience wide temperature changes.

GEAR TO GEAR LINK CABLE
|
|
|
Gear to Gear Link Cable
Manufacturer: Sega
Model: Unknown
Type: System link cable
Essential for co-op or head-to-head play with another Game Gear, since the system isn't made for
connecting extra controllers. Then comes the challenge of finding somebody else with a Game Gear,
who also has the same multi-player games you have.

|
GAME GENIE
|
|
|
Game Genie
Manufacturer: Galoob
Model: 7358
Type: Game enhancer
The Game Gear version of the Game Genie features a window which allows you to see the back of your game carts.
This sounds silly at first, but this allows you to attach adhesive labels to the backs of your games, with
codes printed or written on them. Should you not wish to stick stuff to your games, the included code booklet
comes with many codes already, and resides in a compartment like the Game Boy version of the Game Genie. Very
handy! As cheaters never prosper (or run into serious trouble with dangerous people), you should always do
your best to achieve proficiency in all of your games before using the Game Genie with them. Blazing through
everything with invulnerability and infinite weapons will burn the games out quickly, and they're not cheap.
