SPIDERMAN UNLIMITED Watch Spiderman Unlimited every Saturday on FOX. If you think you know the amazing Spider-Man, guess again. The popular Web-slinger is returning this fall in Spider-Man Unlimited, a brand-new, half-hour animated series from Saban Entertainment. But this time around, there's a world of difference. "The new show chronicles the adventures of Spidey on Counter-Earth, where he's gone to rescue his friend, astronaut John Jameson," explains producer Will Meugniot Spidey's old sparring partners, the deadly Venom and Carnage, have stowed away aboard jameson's shuttle. And when contact with it is lost, Spidey decides to pursue the evil symbiotes and arrives on Counter-Earth wearing new duds fashioned by the Fantastic Four's leader Reed Richards-a blue-and-red costume reminiscent of the uniform worn by Spidey's successor in Marvel Comics' Spider-Man 2099. "The new one's designed specifically to deal with the threat of Venom and Carnage ... as well as a few other things in this new unfamiliar environment," explains Meugniot. Some of those "other things" include the Beastials, half-human, halfanimal hybrids created by the High Evolutionary, who is overlord of Counter-Earth's oppressed human population. And in addition to a new supporting cast, including a resistance movement led by John Jameson, Spidey's alter-ego Peter Parker will discover that villains from his home universe have bizarre, counterparts on this world-characters who could be friend or foe. "Remember, the series is set on CounterEarth, so anything goes," says Meugniot. "The look will be somewhat darker and more comic book-like than the previous series. We're trying to do something unique ... a show with a Marvel look the fans will enjoy seeing." Meet some of the Players Read the Episodes List.
