CLERKS STARTED MAY 31

Here's a rundown of all the Episodes:

Episode 4: Air Date - May 31, 2000
Episode 1 -or- "A Dissertation On The American Justice System By People Who Have Never Been Inside A Courtroom, Let Alone Know Anything About The Law, But Have Seen Way Too Many Legal Thrillers"

Jay falls down at the Quick Stop and decides to sue for millions. Randal becomes Dante's lawyer. He calls George Lucas to the stand and asks him why Star Wars: Episode 1 -- The Phantom Menace was so bad. He also calls Steven Spielberg to the stand. The judge in the case is Judge Reinhold.
Episode 2: Air Date - June 7, 2000
Episode 2 -or- "The Clip Show Wherein Dante and Randal are Locked in the Freezer and Remember Some of the Great Moments in Their Lives Together"

The characters reminisce, tongue-in-cheek, about the great times they've had (which at this point encompass all of one episode). The clerks get locked in the freezer again and try to figure out how they got out the last time, and how they're NOT going to let themselves get locked in the freezer again.
Episode 3:
Episode 3 -or- "Leonardo is Caught in the Grip of an Outbreak of Randal's Imagination and Patrick Swayze Either Does or Doesn't Work in the New Pet Store"

Original plans were to have an appearance by Patrick Swayze, who in the episode works at a pet store. He gets fired from the pet store at the end. The show's producers sent the script to Swayze's people and received a letter back from his lawyer, telling them to cease and desist: The lawyer objected to the idea of Swayze being fired from a pet store job.
Episode 5:
Episode 4 -or- "Dante and Randal and Jay and Silent Bob And A Bunch Of New Characters And Lando, Take Part In A Whole Bunch of Movie Parodies Including But Not Exclusive To, 'The Bad News Bears,' 'The Last Starfighter,' ;Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom,' Plus A High School Reunion"

Smith calls this "a cross between Bad News Bears and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom." Dante coaches a Little League team. Jay plays -- since he's technically in the fourth grade.
Episode 1:
Episode 5 -or- "Leonardo Leonardo Returns and Dante Has An Important Decision to Make"

The characters get a general "reintroduction" when the town's founder, Leonardo, returns and opens up a convenience store called the Quicker Stop.
Episode 6:
Episode 6 -or- "The Last Episode Ever"

Dante and Randal go to a comic book convention, attending a panel discussion where hardly anyone shows up. At the panel, someone asks why the Clerks cartoon is nothing like the Clerks movie, and why it is in color when it should be black and white. So the rest of the animated episode is in black and white.

"The idea of doing the show was not to redo the movie," Smith said, noting there would not be such racy scenes as when in the movie a female character has sex with a dead guy. "We didn't want to do what South Park does. ... We set out to make a funny show that's not coarse, but try to be subversive in the process."

Smith said he expects some of what he discussed in the panel to be edited out by the time the episodes air. Besides the conflict of the usage of Patrick Swayze in the third episode, a parody crossover of Schindler's List (with Liam Neeson) and the Flintstones might not make it. "We opted to go forward and animate the bit, but it'll probably never see the light of day. ... It's a frustrating thing." But he added about the show, "I'm really proud of it."

Smith said Ben Affleck will do a voice for the animated series, which draws stars such as Jeff Anderson (Randal) and Jason Mewes (Jay) from the movie.
