AUTO SCANNER, HAND MIKE, & WEATHER CHANNELS
After using my GE unit for a while, I realized the it would be nice to have one that had an automatic scanner to scan the channels. Additionally, I found it was a real pain in the behind to always have to pick up the main unit while driving in order to speak into it. Putting it down where it wouldn't get knocked off after picking it up proved to be another pain in my posterior regions. Last but not least, I saw several units that included access to the local weather channels. Now there's an idea I thought!!
So after reading through the spec's of the different brands, I happened upon a Uniden unit that had everything I wanted and the icing on the cake was that it was also on sale.
AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT
About the only thing I'd like to see would be an in car hard mount like what's available for my GPS. I made the mistake of hanging this unit on my door and I found that it actually rubbed a away at my door panel.
A bit of Armor All and some elbow grease and that scuff is barely noticeable, but it's definitely still there.
