Before
you email me, please make sure you have read the FAQ and example
conversations (copied below). Even though I ask this I still get plenty of emails from
people which completely miss the point of what I am criticising
because they haven't read this material.
Remember:
Whilst American Evangelicals are mostly aware of the nature of OCC,
this is not the case at least in the UK, where the presentation and
information leaflets are quite different. So please don't write to tell me everyone in the USA knows OCC is an evangelical outreach - I know this already and I have been at pains to make this clear throughout my site!
FAQ
- Anonymity. Some people have criticised me for being anonymous and have claimed that I am gutless for being so.
- Transpacency. Is OCC transparent about its nature?
- Other Charities. What alternative Charities do you suggest?
- Jesus Loves You! "OCC brings the gift of Jesus to children. How can anyone object to that!"
Example conversations
- Alan claims that OCC is transparent and that I should not be anonymous.
- Sandra and Michelle.
More claims that OCC are transparent about their mission, that nobody
is pressurised to become a Christian, and that my site contains "the
most unbelievable crap..."
- Herb. Are there dishonest supporters of OCC? Is OCC ethical? Maybe this conversation will illustrate and clarify.
- Threats. These are all "less than charitable" quotes directly emailed to me from supporters of OCC. Are supernatural threats in the nature of a children's charity?
