| Taxtime is here... Here are a few links to help you find out what you owe! You basically have two (2) taxes to pay : Property Taxes and MUD tax. J.R. Moore Jr (936) 539-7897 MONTGOMERY COUNTY PROPERTY TAXES (property tax) (go here to pay your property taxes - might have already been paid out of your bank escrow- you will most likely have to tell them your parcel number) Wheeler & Associates (713) 462-8906 MUD DISTRICT 83 TAXES ( Municipal Utility District tax) (go here to pay your utility taxes - might have already been paid out of your bank escrow - you will most likely have to tell them your tax account number) Montgomergy Central Appraisal District (281) 353-2186 APPRAISAL DISTRICT (county appraiser) (go here to update information in tax database and get homestead exemption form - if you qualify- and send in) Follow the steps below: First, it may help to get the parcel number from your mortgage lender so that you can locate your property when you call the appraisal district. If the taxes were paid, this will help them (the appraisal district) locate "YOUR" property via this number. Your taxes most likely have been paid out of your escrow (check with your bank) already. Secondly, be sure to update the information (name and address) in the tax database with the appraisal district as most contain incorrect builder information! Be sure to update both your mailing address and what's called you "Situs" or property address. Thirdly, be sure you give MUD district 83 the correct format (see key below) of your Tax Account Number to help them locate it. Parcel Number/Tax Account Number KEY: *Please don't enter this number below ( it's a sample number), this is just to show you what the format is . Without the correct format, you will not find any results when you do a search at the Appraisal District site or MUD District 83 site. Parcel number= 00.3445.00.35776 Tax Account Number to use at Appraisal District site = 3445-00-35776 Tax Account or "CAD" number to use at MUD District 83 site = 34450035776 You can verify and pay your taxes online at both sites once you are in everyones system!. And oh yeah...by the way...the deadline is/was January 31st. P.S. If you had as much fun calling all the nice folks listed above as I did , you'll be ready for at least (2) martini's afterwards! : |
