When Nothing Goes Right

I try to blend beyond the words
Of pain and suffering
I try to force my spiteful mind
Through the hatred coming
I sometimes cannot see past this
The job that I now do
Though nothing goes right here and now
I seem to still have you

My soul is daily cast to hell
The cause is never known
I see such things that nightmares bring
And I am what they own
But then I leave to come straight here
My world of you too few
When nothing goes right in my life
I know I still have you

The hard times pass by so slowly
As they twist our mortal hearts
And chaste moments rarely permit;
Engrave the golden parts
I know at nights I hold you near
And seem to get a clue:
When nothing goes right then or now
I'll always still have you

And when you leave this cold harsh world
I know you'll be serene
Pray each night your love will still hold
Earthbound upon this scene
I'll miss you right beside me there
Your presence still so true
When nothing goes right, last few years
I'll never not have you
