Abbotsford offers a Youth Resource Center for teens that "offer a dynamic collection of services that fit within our "Youth Focused ... Family and Community Minded" philosophy of working with youth aged 12-18 years old. Services are delivered in a professional, confidential and accountable manner" (Abbotsford Community Services, n.d.)

The Youth Resource Center website is underdevelopment and hard to read.  The web design still needs some work. They have provided areas for depression and youth but is still under construction.

Deltassist offers child and youth services in the form of: Pregnant & Parenting  Teen Program, Reconnect Program, Mental Health  Child Care Worker Program. The website has phone numbers and a short write up about the programs that are offered.

Deltassist also offers counseling services at its North Delta and South Delta offices: Beyond Survival, Youth Suicide Prevention Program, Family Counselling Program, Alcohol & Drug Program, Alternatives to Violence Program, Healthy Families Program,  and Mental Health Child and Family Program

Information Services is a referral service for community, government and social services.  They produce the Red Book and the online version of the Red Book.

Options is a community based service that is based on community development, and meeting the needs of the community. They offer:

  • Family and Child Services
  • Youth Services
  • Women's Services
  • Housing and Shelter Services
  • Mental Health Services
  • Multicultural Services
  • Child Care Services

The services listed under Youth Services are largely based for youth who have developmental delays. Options does offer a Special Services to Children and Their Families program designed for children 5 -18, but families need to be referred by the Ministry of Children and Family Development before accessing this program.

Peace Arch Community Services does not appear to offer many services geared towards children and youth.  They do offer a Youth Work Connections for youth aged 17-24 who are looking for a job and who are receiving IA but not EI.
