YEWS FARMHOUSE, STYRRUP, NOTTS. A Grade ll listed building. Trust Architect - Alan Wahlers. Contractor - Dexter Pollard. The Trust acquired this timber-framed building from a local contractor. The timber frame was dated to about 1656 and proved in suprisingly good condition for its age. External walls were a mixture of brick and stone, the original thatch roof now altered and replaced with clay pantiles. The farmhouse was partly restored and made weathertight. Following representations the partly restored farmhouse was sold in 2001 to a private owner, who intends to complete the interior restoration works.
	MOOR END FARM, WALKERINGHAM, NOTTS. A Grade ll listed building. Trust Architect - Alan Wahlers. Contractor - CG Rhodes and Sons Limited. The Trust is very grateful to the original owner, Mrs E Wright, for offering first refusal on the purchase of the farmhouse and adjoining land. Built in about 1750, the interior is largely unchanged. Constructed of brickwork with clay pantiles there are cogged eaves and tumbled coped gables. The farmhouse was restored to a high standard. Refurbishment Cost - about £48000 plus Vat. Sold - £83000. 1998.
	ST LEONARDS COURT, NEWARK, NOTTS. Grade ll listed buildings. Civic Trust Awards - Commendation 1994. Trust Architect/Contractor - Brian Allebon/Bauen Limited. A design and build organisation. Cost - about £200000. The restoration of a row of six cottages in the Newark Town Centre. The cottages were built about 1836 and rescued from severe dereliction after standing empty since 1964, despite pressures for demolition. Support was received from The Architectural Heritage Fund (loans), English Heritage (grant assistance), The Nottinghamshire County Council (small grant/technical advice) and Newark and Sherwood District Council (Town Scheme grant/technical advice), to all of whom thanks must be extended. Refurbishment completed October 1991. Cottages sold privately.
	34 HIGH STREET, ARNOLD, NOTTS. Trust Architect - the late John Severn. Contractor - Messrs Richards Building Services. Works carried out 1987. A modest cottage, where the Trust assisted the owner of the cottage to refurbish the cottage in return for a hold on the property.
	114-116 ST STEPHENS ROAD, SNEINTON, NOTTS. Trust Architect - the late John Severn. Works carried out 1986. Refurbishment Cost - about £28000. Aided by DOE Inner Area Grant of £10400. House and Shop, sold for £27950.
	COTTAGE, MAIN STREET, PAPPLEWICK, NOTTS. Trust Architect - Brian Allebon. Contractor - Mr. Coleman of Messrs RJ Coleman and Sons. A cottage left to the Trust in the will of the late Miss Britton. Sold 1986, after restoration.
	HUTT LODGE, NEWSTEAD ABBEY, RAVENSHEAD, NOTTS. A listed building designed by CA Buckler 1862. Trust Architect - the late John Severn. Contractor - CR Crane and Sons Limited. Works carried out 1984/85. Refurbishment Cost - about £21000. One of the many gatekeeper lodges all over the country which prove difficult to deal with satisfactorily for various reasons. Owned by Nottingham City Council.
	FOREST LODGE, THE FOREST, NOTTINGHAM. A listed building, designed by Henry Moses Wood, Borough Surveyor, in 1856/57. Trust Architect - the late John Severn. Contractor - CR Crane and Sons Limited. Works carried out 1984/85. Refurbishment Cost - about £26000. Another lodge on the edge of the Forest Recreation Ground, currently unoccupied but refurbished by the Trust and owned by Nottingham City Council. Used at one time as a police station.
	NO 3 GREENS GARDENS, SNEINTON. Trust Architect - the late John Severn. Contractor - Mr RJ Coleman and his son Peter of Messrs RJ Coleman and Sons. Works completed 1984, keys handed over to the Nottingham City Council on 27th September 1984. Refurbishment Cost - about £17300. Refurbishment of an empty 2-storey 19th century 2-bedroom cottage, the fomer home of Harry Chapman, one of Sneintons colourful characters and a founder member of Sneinton's Environmental Society.
	FARMHOUSE, LINBY LANE, PAPPLEWICK, NOTTS. Trust Architect - the late John Severn. Contractor - Mr Coleman of Messrs RJ Coleman and Sons. Thanks also to Dr Bob Middleton, former NBPT Secretary, the Civic Trust Architectural Heritage Fund and Gedling Borough Council. Works carried out 1982/83. Comprised a house and farm buildings around a yard. The oldest part was probably built in the17th Century. All of the buildings except the hovel and granary are of stone. The house was rendered on the front roughcast before refurbishment. After refurbishment the development was sold as two separate properties. A successful project, the final account being £400 less than the feasibilty estimate and the sale of the properties, (one 2-bedroom and one 3-bedroom), reaching their recommended valuations.
	WINDLES SQUARE, CALVERTON, NOTTS. The first job by the Trust. Winner of European Heritage Year Award. The conversion of a group of former Stockingers Cottages, 1974. Before this first project the NBPT were only responsible for the administration of a grant system, not in the carrying out of projects. Numerous applications for grant assistance were considered during these early years. Station buildings owned by Railtrack, but empty for years and threatened with demolition by the owner. COTTAGE, MISSON Bought by the Trust, but sold unaltered in 1989. HOLMGARTH HOUSE, BLYTH Feasibility Study. A timber-framed listed cottage, the timber frame repaired with grant aid. Demolition approval granted by Bassetlaw DC. Building demolished, now a garage forecourt. OLD SCHOOLHOUSE, ORDSALL, RETFORD Unused building. MALTBY'S ACADEMY, MANSFIELD Feasibility Study. Refurbished by Mansfield District Council. Former school, now converted to small flats. INNISDOON, MANSFIELD Feasibilty Study. Grade ll* listed building, built as private residence to the design of Parker and Unwin. Converted and used as a Doctors Surgery. BATH MILL, MANSFIELD Grade ll listed building. Feasibility Study. £5K Grant towards Feasibilty Study from AHF 1996/97. Currently empty and vandalised. BERRY HILL HALL, MANSFIELD Listed building. Former private residence, used by Coal Board as a Rehabilitation Centre for miners. Currently owned by a Nottingham Developer, empty and vandalised. THE MANOR HOUSE, MANSFIELD WOODHOUSE Listed building, former Mansfield District Council offices. Converted to private flats. WHARF CAFE, NEWARK Feasibility Study. Conversion and extension as a Pizza Express outlet. LOCKEEPERS COTTAGE, NEWARK Derelict cottage, now restored and converted to restaurant use. BENNERLEY VIADUCT, AWSWORTH Listed former railway viaduct. NBPT acted as enabler. 61-65 HIGH STREET, SUTTON-ON-TRENT Listed cottages, blighted by modern convenience store. Threatened with demolition. THE OLD SHOP, WILFORD Derelict empty cottage. JESSAMINE COTTAGE, HICKLING Listed building. Sold privately for refurbishment.
