More Playing With Tables - Way Back When

Date: mid 1990s

For what it's worth, this is my homework for my Heartland University course on making tables...lesson 2...design...

How can you tell that I'm proud to be Canadian?!

How to Add Captions to Your Photos Using Tables
And Other Interesting Tidbits I've Picked up Along the Way

Ha! All the HTML lessons so far from Heartland University have guided me along gently, step by step. All of a sudden, it's "Here's a sample of what you can do...go for it!" Do you seriously think I'm that smart? Yikes! Well... let's see what I can do...

Hey, how do you like the background color and text? I think it is so Kewl! (reminds me of my old highschool "blue and gold"). I found it on a site someplace on the web, and just had to check out the "View Source" and find out how it's done, and give it a try. Like it?

Anyway, the point of this page is to show my incredible ability to Use tables to add captions to my photos!
Hope you'll like the photos... of my Charming Children, of course. So:

My Charming Children!
Wendy Sarah's doodle Taryn
Robyn Peter's doodle
Well, as you can see I couldn't come up with pics of everyone, so I substituted their own artwork when I couldn't find photos. And I was going to try to put the following info around the pictures, but I couldn't figure it out. (Any hints? Hint, hint...)

* Anyway, top left is a picture of Wendy, daughter #4. She is 11 years old, in grade six, and is creating a webpage. I stole the photos from her file!
* At top right is a picture of Taryn, age 17, our oldest daughter, and resident computer techie and web page designer (who did NOT help me with this!).
* In between is a doodle (self-portrait? :-) ) by Sarah, age 15, our 2nd daughter, and talented sketch artist IMHO.
* Below is a picture by Peter, age 9, our 5th child and only son. This is an original doodle by Peter. Can you tell he loves cars?
* Bottom left is our 3rd daughter Robyn, age 13. Robyn is the athlete in our family, and also way involved in Canadian Sea Cadets.

Say! This gives me an idea! How about a Family Chart
