Hi Guys,
There is a real avalanche of cars this week.
There are 12 new cars from Carrera and a new set and three new cars from
Slot It.
From Carrera:
Most of the offerings are for the new Carrera 132 Digital System which is
said to be a great improvement on the Pro X system they touted in the past.
The new 132 system allows you to convert other cars to run on their
digital system as Scalextric does. The biggest news seems to the that the cars
are also marked “suitable for analog’ meaning they will run without
modification on an analog system, thus increasing the available number of paint
schemes two fold. The paint
schemes in the digital offerings appear to be exclusive to digital in many
instances. The disadvantage would be
the extra $8.00 each digital car costs.
For Digital 132:
Three new 1941 Willys.
The first is in black primer with full skirts, working lights, granny
visor, the works. $49.99 # 30423.
The second is a full blown version called “Fat Attack” sporting a
fully chromed motor and huge rear slicks. $49.99
# 30421 and the last a two tone green supercharged coupe, again with working
lights #30422, $49.99
Next in the digital offerings are
two 1932 Fords not seen before paint schemes.
The first is a classic stock convertible in blue and red #30402 again
with working lights, $49.99 and the second is a supercharged version with the
scoop sticking through the hood this time in black and red #30401 $49.99.

Carrera is also offering four
licensed NASCARS which I ‘assume’ will be forthcoming in analog versions.
They are the ‘Car of Tomorrow’ series and include the Kevin Harwick
Chevrolet Impala SS Pennzoil #29, the
Bobby Labonte Dodge Avenger Cheerios #43, the Kyle Petty Dodge Avenger American
Spirit #45 and the Jeff Burton Cingular Impala.
All cars are $49.99 each and will run on analog tracks.
The last two digital offerings
are two futuristic cars, the Tunnar (I don’t know what that means either!) in
green and silver #30414 and a police vehicle called the Raptor #30413.
Again both have working lights and are analog compatible as are all of
the new Digital 132 cars. $49.99
each.

In analog Carrera:
A single light gray primer
painted Willys coupe ‘leadsled’ with working lights #27225 $41.99.

Also a hot rod set called Cool
Rods with feet of track and two hot rods. The
first is the very popular flamed 32 Ford Convertible in black with flames and
the second yet another new paint scheme Willys in cream and maroon.
From Slot It comes one new
liveried Porsche 956K, this the Hockenheim 1985 car driven by Belloff and
Boutsen. The car is shades of blue
with white. #SICA09B $54.99 and two
white kits. The first kit is the
high tail 956K Porsche and the second the Jaguar XJR9 CA07z $49.99 each.

Till next time,
