Hi
Guys, There are some new cars in
from NSR this week and I have the first one as either an angle winder or a
sidewinder. The first is the 2nd
place finisher from Donnington in 2003, it is stock number 1006A for anglewinder
or 1006S for sidewinder. Interestingly,
the other car from NSR is another Mosler, this time in red and white #122 which
is also touted as being the 2nd place finisher at Donnington in 2003.
This seemed somewhat unlikely so I set 1::1 racing expert Mike Jiran on
the trail of the real 2nd place car.
It seems NSR must stand for Not So Realistic as the red and white car
existed only as a number 33 which was the winner at Donnington in 2003.
Apparently NSR didn’t want to pay for additional licensing so they must
have ‘made up’ the second car. The
red and white car is available as an anglewinder only and is # 1018.

NSR
Mosler MT900R Sidewinder 2nd at
Donnington 2003 stock #1006 $103.99

NSR Mosler MT900R
Sidewinder 2nd at Donnington 2003 Stock number 1018 $103.99
Car has the Shark 25,000 rpm motor @ 12v 176gr-cm of
torque in Sidewinder configuration and features a small round adjustable
magnet

From Scalextric I have a ‘new’ Mini Cooper. I
put new in parenthesis as this car has been done before, although not by
Scalextric. Ninco did this same car
in a different shade of blue several years ago.
The Scalextric version is #C2922 and like the Nixon Mini in last weeks
newsletter it is DPR (digital plug ready). Earlier
versions of the mini were not DPR. $29.99

This is
the Jaguar
XKR GT3, Apex Racing Team stock number C2978 and is $49.99.
Thanks
and see you soon, Joe
