Joined USMC in 1964, three tours in Vietnam, Drill instructor, close combat instructor, USMC started karate, Uicihi Ryu until 1972 under Kane Uichi- 1st sensei. During this time studied other styles as well.

Studied Okinawa Kenpo under Seikichi Odo Was and is still a member of the board of directors of the Okinawa Kenpo Karate Kobudo Association (O.K.K.K.A.) in Okinawa under president Shigeru Maehara. Other members of the board included: Seikichi Odo (Deceased),Hideo Henzan
Tokobu Gushiken, Kenko Chibana (Deceased).
Published first book of Okinawan Kenpo in 1980 containing the founder of the (O.K.K.K.A.) Shigero Nakamura. Carrying on the teaching of Seikichi Odo and the senseis who taught him.
