Questions & Answers Page 6 What is the Alter in front of the school called?   Kamidana (Ka - mee - da - na).    What does Butokukai mean?   Bu (Martial) Toku (Virtue) Kai (Gathering)    Uechi-Ryu Bu Toku Kai: Gathering of Uechi-Ryu students who are practicing the virtues of the martial arts.   What is the meaning behind the Butokukai Association ?    It is the Association our school belongs to. -   Chairman of the Board: Mr. Buzz Durkin Four Board of Directors:  Mr. Dan Dovidio, Mr. Michael Rozumek, Miss Nancy Gavenda, Mr. Tracy Rose.    By replacing the "i" in Butokukai to an "n" - it changes the meaning to the place where students study the virtues of the martial arts.
