Vietnam is where I was born, if you were wondering. It's a beautiful place. Vietnam is a small country in Asia with a shape of a "S." To the west of Vietnam is Laos and Cambodia, while to the north is China.Vietnam was under China's rule for thousands of years. Then it broke free thanks to France. The French rule Vietnam for about 100 years. Later on Vietnam was it independent country. Vietnam was then under Ho Chi Minh rule and became communist. When in the process of becoming communist, it fought a bloody war. The US helped the South Vietnam fight for freedom against the North Vietnam which were communist. The south and the US unfortunately lost the battle. It was one of the longest and a bloody war. Vietnam is now a communist country. Vietnam flag used to be yellow with three red stripes but after the war it became yellow with a red star in the middle. Vietnam have gone through a lot of history to where it have gotten today.
Vietnam is very small.I was born in Vietnam and lives there for only 2 years. When I was 2 we have to leave Vietnam because it was under the Communist rule. My parents want the best for my future so we leave. We migrate to US in hope of a better future. It took us a long time to get where we are today. When I was 11 I had the chance of going back to Vietnam and visit the place where I was born. The place there is much smaller than here in the US. There are a lot of poor people there and the streets are very crowded. Despite the crowdedness the place is very very BEAUTIFUL. I got to go to many places and the views are great. I visit my grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and relatives. I also got to go and visit many beautiful places. It's certainly was the best experiences ever.I would definitely go back and visit when I have the time and money.
Oh and did I tell you. Vietnam has change a lot since 30 years ago. Now everything is modernized. It looks pretty much like the US. Vietnam also have nice clean white sand beach. It's the best place to go to in summer. Oh and the best part is... everything is much cheaper in Vietnam (money wise). I think it's a great place to go for a vacation.
