Volleyball is the sport that I play for school. I am in the Girls' Volleyball Team at Birmingham High school.I start out in my sophomore year and played in a JV team. It was fun going to other school and play against other school. I like it so I decided to stay on the team and play. The first year I played (last year) we were West Valley League Champion. It was the first year that Birmingham Girls' Volleyball Team has ever won League Champion. It's pretty exciting to be the first team to have win the title.
Though it's fun to play volleyball there are a lot of work and time put into it. We practice every single day until 5:10 when it's our season. We also practice 2-3 times a week even if it's not our season. It takes dedication and discipline to come to all of the practice. As my coach always say, " Perfect practice makes perfect NOT Practice makes perfect." My coach is very strict on practicing the perfect technique. We work really hard and I am proud to be part of the BHS Girls' Volleyball Team.
Well I'm coming back next year and hopefully we will again keep our West Valley League Champion title and go for CITY CHAMPION. I can't wait until next year. As of now I will continue to work for it along with my team mates. Volleyball is a pretty fun sport and I'm glad I join the team. Now not only I can play volleyball but I've also made a lot of new friends.

In volleyball there are basic thing that you need to do. You will need to know how to pass, set, hit, and most importantly serve the ball. Serve is when you have the ball and serve it to the other team. When the other team returns the ball you have to pass the ball to the setter. The setter then set the ball to the hitter. Now the hitter will hit or spike the ball on the opponent team. That's how you get the game of volleyball. There is also blocking the opponent, but we won't get to that just yet. Well, anyway here are some basic steps to serving, passing, setting, and hitting. ENJOY!
