SET UP PARTITIONS

0. run partition magic, or some partitioning tool, set aside empty space for win2k
   set aside linux & linux swap space for both linux partitions
   debian - hda2 = linux, hda5 = linux swap
   mandrake - hda4 = linux, hda6 = linux swap
   win2k - hda1

WIN2K Pro Installation (from CD)

1. restart computer with win2k pro cd in
2. select empty space as win2k partition
3. format new win2k partition
4. win2k copies install files from cd to the hard drive
5. reboot #1 (take cd out)
6. when prompted insert cd again
7. win2k auto-detects devices
8. time/date/user name setup
9. win2k detects network settings
10. win2k installs windows components
11. win2k performs final talks
12. reboot #2
13. win2k loads for first time (make sure it works)

DEBIAN Installation (from CD), at any time you are safe to select the defaults

0. reboot with CD #1 in
1. select the proper partitions
2. activate those partitions
3. configure the kernel (what are you using it for)
4. debian installs the base system
5. time to make a boot floppy, DON'T MAKE IT BOOT DIRECTLY FROM HARD DRIVE YET!
6. reboot, stick boot floppy in
7. will be asked to scan in all the cd's
8. use tasktel to select the packages you want installed
9. edit /etc/lilo.conf (create it if necessary), run lilo
10. reboot (make sure boot floppy is out)
11. check both Win2k and debian to see that they work

MANDRAKE Installation (from CD)

0. reboot with CD #1 in
1. select the proper partitions
2. choose packages desired (i selected kde as my window manager)
3. mandrake installs the packages
4. create users and passwords
5. time to make a boot floppy, DON'T MAKE IT BOOT 
6. reboot (make sure boot floppy is out)

FINAL TOUCHES

0. boot back into debian
1. edit /etc/lilo.conf, run lilo
2. reboot, check all 3 Op Systems to make sure they work
