The Norwegian Final was held on February 20th at the NRK TV Studios in Oslo, hosted by Jan Voigt. The winning song was chosen by a jury with 14 members of the public on it, who gave each song 1-5 points.

Hanne Krogh came 17th at the Eurovision. Inger Jacobsen represented Norway in the 1962 Eurovision, while Odd Børre did the same in 1968.
