In the discussion paper "Strategy of Nantah
Websites" published in this web site, authored by Boon Kang and
myself, it consists of five paragraphs, namely
1. STATE OF THE WEBSITES
2. AT THE CROSS ROAD
3. OUR PLAN
4. CONCLUSION
5. EPILOGUE
In the conclusion we stated the following among others:
"We have reservation on the idea of "official site"at this level,
simply because it implies bureaucracy, control and power which will inevitably
bring headache later, and it does not serve any practical purpose at all.
There is not even an official unified body of Nantah alumni associations.
Most local associations are loosely organized bodies without any protocol
or regulation. why do we need an "official" website ? "
There is a Mr. Y whose real identity is still not known, picked up just a single word in this paper i.e. bureaucracy to fabricate his thesis. I doubt he understands the other
95% of the discussion paper. Athough his effort may be admirable, his kung-fu is pretty lousy. His ignorance never ceases to amaze me.
My encounter with Mr Y is as exciting as the stories of Fang Zhuan Pi
which appeared in the newspapers
in the 1960s. But Fang is a real person with the real name and met personnally
with then Prime Minister of Singapore.
But who is this "Fang Zhuan Pi"?
We all know that he is not a graduate of Nantah. He introduced himself
to me in his email as a retired person living in UK and quite close to
those Nantah alumni in Singapore. Someone in Singapore introduced this
website http://www.nantahfriends.com to him
He wanted to know if I would accept comments since this website represents an independent voice. He then informed that he would go to France for a couple of days before sending me an email with his comments in Chinese.
My very good friend Sherlock Holmes sent email from his Baker Street office in London: "We could not trace Mr Y. It looks like that he has French connections. Not to worry. He is not a communist. Yours, SH."
I found that it was okay to publish Mr Y's comments in this website and I also added
my reply to his comments. The articles were subsequently transferred to
http://forum.nantah.org. Mr. K of nantah.com, the "official" website published his comments but not my reply. A wise person like myself does not expect much from an "official" website. I expect more intelligence from a three years old kid.
Mr. Y's email address is with yahoo.com.uk.This does not necessarily mean
that he lives in UK. His email account name does not seem to link well
with his name. He gave no other details other than that he used to be
involved with some associations in Singapore.
His English is okay but not exciting. He took the word "bureaucracy"
out of context. This word used in the discussion paper refers to red tape, inefficiency and rigid procedures
in managing a website without a single official body to report to.
Because he does not seem to understand English that well, I repeat again.
It is referring to web site.
I stand on the rationale in the conclusion of the discussion paper. I have invited Mr K of nantah.com to
attend the follwing event in Hua San of Yun Nan Yen for a debate:

|
Details of this event are in http://www.geocities.com/nantahfriends/huasan.html.
Mr K has declined the invitation, but not sure if he would change his
mind with the help of a "GuoShou(?)" like Mr Y. Therefore I take this opportunity
also to invite Mr Y to attend the important event at Hua San.
In western countries, the use of words such as "bureaucracy"
and "politics" are quite common. I guess Mr Y possibly does not live or has not
lived in UK for very long. He may have picked up some jargons here and there
regarding the Spirit of Nantah. But I do not think that he really understand
the soul of words "Spirit of Nantah". Very shallow. No kung-fu.
Mind you, one does not need to be a Nantah graduate to have and to understand
the Spirit of Nantah. In 1950s, the masses and rank and file worked selflessly
for the cause of Nantah. These people had and understood the Spirit of
Nantah.
Mr Y does not seem to have a clue of the Spirit of Democracy either. He
is certainly not a regular weekend or Sundays visitor to Hyde Park if
it is true that he lives in UK. The speakers in Hyde Park express
whatever views they like. If Mr Y wants to go to Hyde Park to open his eyes, my advice is this.
He would be out for great shocks and therefore it would be
highly advisable that he pre-arrange for an ambulance.
As you know, Nantah
has no enemy. We do not want to lose our Mr Y.
He does not seem to possess the necessary qualification to advise Nantah alumni on the Strategy of Nantah Websites. Very shallow. No kung-fu.
Mr Y does not communicate with me now. These are a few questions unanswered:
He does not like the close working relationship between this website and nantah.org in Canada. Why?
He wants this website to work closely with the "official" website. Why?
He is so interested in exerting his influence to the direction of Nantah websites. Why?
In an article, I mentioned in passing that I did not attend the 7th Nantah Alumni Reunion in Vancouver. He picked it up and has remembered it. He has gone into great details reading the articles in this website. Why?
Mr Y gets along well with Mr K of nantah.com, the so called "official" website of Nantah. This is not surprising because they practice the same type of "official" kung-fu. We all know
it:
|
 |
|
Mr K has taken an unprecedented effort to distribute Mr Y's letter
in Chinese to Nantah alumni. I personally
have received four copies of the same letter! I can see that monkeys are
fond of scratching the backs of each other.
To a great majority of Nantah alumni, this stinks.
Many Nantah alumni, professors included, cannot even have their articles
published in nantah.com, not to mention having their letters distributed
to alumni. Mr K has extended great favouritism to Mr Y, who is neither a Nantah alumnus nor a celebrity. This apart from strengtening the rationale in the discussion paper "Strategy of Nantah Website", also
indicates a double standard and a practice of the Spirit of Pravda
in essence which we did not foresee. (Note: Pravda was the official newspaper of Soviet Union, now demised.)
Nantah has no enemy. True, but you may have learned
only half of the kung-fu if you really understand it, Mr Y.
But, not to worry.
Nantah has nothing to hide. This is the other half of the kung-fu. Your excellency does not mind to teach you now.
Listen, Mr Y. If you want
to see my picture, please go to the home page and look it up in the article
The Road
To El Paso.
Now your turn, Mr Y.
To Nantah alumni, you are still a faceless man.
Many Nantah alumni possibly appreciate your great love for Nantah and
like to meet you. It is time for you to disclose your full identity and
show us your picture to be published either in this website or in nantah.com, your favourite.
This is a test of your courage to come forward. Then we shall continue to discuss what are you after and other kung-fus.
This website proudly belongs to Shou Lin, the mainstream kung-fu, not "official" kung-fu. No "aun chi" (secret devices) please, Mr. Y. The "aun chi" may be your boomberangs when you meet a Shou Lin GouShou. Some Nantah alumni including myself also know the kung-fu of Moo Yung Fu. This is why I write this article for your consumption!
Nantah alumni want to know who is this "Fang Zhuan Pi". Please hide no more, Mr. Y.
P.S.
In his open letter to Nantah alumni, Mr Y told Mr K: It's nice
to be friend with you and give my very best wishes on nantah com. Always keep in touch.
An alumnus cc an email by mistake and was told off by Mr Y for invasion
of privacy.
My good friend Sherlock Holmes has this to say in his email from
Baker Street office: No sighting of Mr Y in UK. Was informed that he hides somewhere and focuses on
"offical" Har-Mar-Kung derived from the kung-fu of Xi Took Au
Yang Fung but many times more poisonous. He may go to Hua San in September. Yours, SH.
