Amakaze/Townspeople Jobs
First off, to receive a job for the townspeople, simply talk to the man named “job broker” standing next to the Amakaze inn. Note that working for the townspeople will enable you to be able to purchase more goods at stores and will get you discounts too.
Find the baby-400/500mon
For this job, you are given a clue by the job broker and must follow that clue to the whereabouts of the baby. Most of the clues feature an attraction in a certain town, so if you think about it hard, you can figure out where the baby is. Make sure to look in obscure places such as behind corners, and in alleys. For example, if the clue is “Scared of the doctor”, then you associate the word “doctor” with a town. The answer becomes obvious that the baby is in the Edge of town. The only thing left to do then is to search the Edge of town for the baby. If you are having severe difficulties with this, you can search different towns for a person with the name “man”. It will have a purple tag. If you beat him down a bit, he will tell you where the baby is.
NOTE: If you are going to use the man, do not kill him or you will not receive the information you seek.
Myst’s Correction: You can kill the man, you just have to actually watch what he says while he’s dying. As he dies, he’ll tell you where the kid is. More fun, but requires more attention.
Find the Son-200/300mon
If you are asked to bring back the umbrella maker’s son, then head over to the magistrate’s office. The son you are looking for will have a purple name tag, and will always be in one of these three places:
- Directly to the right after entering the main area of the magistrate’s office, and around the corner.
- After entering the main area, follow the path to the left through the door, and then turn left again to find the son behind a lamp.
- The son may also be directly opposite Nakamura in between two buildings.
To get the son to go back to his family, talk to him. You will have many choices, but if you choose options 1-1-1-2 in that order, he will always go back. Then head back to Amakaze-cho for your reward.
Find the daughter-200/300mon
If you are asked to bring back the daughter, then head over to Numata-cho. The daughter you are looking for will have a purple name tag and will always be in one of the following four places:
- Directly to your character’s left just after you enter the town.
- In an empty room on the left of the main street. (If it is daytime).
- Directly opposite that empty room on the left in between two buildings. (If nighttime).
- Directly opposite the kitty shrine, near the girl with the sick father which is behind some buildings on the left.
To get the daughter to go back to her family, talk to her. You will have many choices, but if you choose options 1-1-2-2 in that order, she will always go back. Then head back to Amakaze-cho for your reward.
Find Subuji-200/300mon
If you are asked to find Subuji and bring him back, then head to Otsuka-cho. Subuji will have a purple name tag and will always be in one of these three places:
- To your character’s right after entering the town, down a path and around the corner to the right.
- Continue down the above mentioned path and he might be near the monk.
- Directly behind the guard who watches over your house.
To get Subuji to go back, talk to him. You will have many choices, but if you choose options 2-2-1-1 in that order, he will always go back. Then head back to Amakaze-cho for your reward.
Control Thugs-500/600mon
If you are told that there are a group of thugs that are terrorizing and destroying Amahara, then head to the specific town that the job broker tells you to. This will either be in Shikano-cho, Amahara shrine, or Kakinuma-cho. When you enter the town, you will find that the thugs and magistrates are in a huge rumble. Simply kill off as many thugs and/or magistrates as you can until you get a message saying, “You have suppressed the riot”. The best way to do this is to parry their attacks, and instant kill them. After receiving this message, head back to Amakaze-cho to collect your reward.
NOTE: Although the job broker asks you to deal with thugs, it doesn’t matter if you kill off magistrates as well. Killing both will have the same effect.
Find Otama-600/700mon
You will be asked to retrieve a stolen item and to bring the thief to justice. So you will do just that. Leave the area and head for Numata-cho. The person you will be looking for will be a foreigner with a purple name tag that reads, “Shady man”. Talk to him and tell him to give back what he stole. He will then fight you. Defeat him and he will drop the item you seek. Then bring the item back to Amakaze-cho for your reward.
Imawaya’s Treasure-600/700mon
You will be asked to retrieve a kidnapped girl and to bring the kidnapper to justice. Leave the area and head for the Edge of town. The person you will be looking for with be a woman with a purple name tag that reads, “Kidnapper”. Talk to her and tell her to give back what she stole. She will then attack you. Defeat the kidnapper and she will drop the item you seek. Then bring the item back to Amakaze-cho for your reward.
NOTE: If you enter the Edge of town during the daytime without having done the clinic storyline event before hand, you will have to and will automatically fail the mission.
Find hair clip-600/700mon
You will be asked to retrieve a hair ornament that was stolen and to bring the thief to justice. Leave the area and head for Aoto gang headquarters. The person you will be looking for is a thug. He will have a purple name tag that reads, “Collector”. Talk to him and tell him to give back what he stole. He will then fight you. Defeat the collector and he will drop the hair ornament. Then bring it back to Amakaze-cho for your reward.
Revenge-900mon
You will be told that a townsperson was murdered, and you will be told who the murderer is. If it is a magistrate, then head for the magistrate’s office. If it was a yakuza, then head for the Aoto gang headquarters. If it was a samurai, head for Kakinuma-cho. In any of these three cases, the target will have a purple name tag. Talk to the target and tell them that you are there for revenge. The murderer will then fight you. Defeat them and head back for Amakaze-cho for your reward.
Sparring-1000mon
Note that you will only get this mission if the townspeople do not like you too much and it will be a redemption kind of mission. You will be told to head to the Amahara shrine to teach a militia how to fight. Head there and you will be put again 100 fighters who can all be instantly killed. You cannot kill these people however, you can merely defeat them. Once you have, they will run away. When you have defeated 100 enemies, you will receive a completion message and you can head back to Amakaze-cho for your reward and redemption.
