Secret of Mana
Anyone who likes both RPG and Adventure type games will enjoy this one tremendously. It has the fighting style of an adventure game, but it has a lot of the elements of an RPG such as leveling up, HP, MP, and a RPG style spell casting system. When the spells are used, the character who is using it summons a spirit to use the spell. That spirit casts the spell and gains its own type of experience points for it. After a certain amount of experience points, it goes up a level and the spells that it casts become stronger. After certain levels, the spell's look may change completely. The weapons work in a similar way. As you kill enemies with them, they gain experience points. Once they level up, they gain a new charge up attack level. The only way you can continue to get the new levels is by making the weapon stronger with weapon orbs found throughout the game. The storyline for this game is an interesting and intriguing one that keeps you hanging there for awhile. The controls in the menu is a bit confusing at first acknowledging the fact that almost everything is backwards on it, but it won't take much time to get used to. Another good thing in this game is that there are no set names for the characters, you name them whatever you want. The fun factor is up there with everything else.
