Warriors Orochi Idiots

Hanzaemon is fairly active now on the GameFAQs message board. I happened to be browsing the Warriors Orochi message board and came across the beginnings of a topic asking if a level 99 character would make the game easier.
The basic reply is the common Economist reply: It depends If youre playing on Easy or Normal, then yes, a level 99 character will make things easier. On Normal, it would get harder closer to the end of the game. However, on Hard or Chaos, nothing can help you except for raw skill and tactic.

However, some dont agree with this assessment. Therefore, after getting an e-mail pointing me towards the replies, I decided to tear into some people in a rant.

Ignoring the horrifying slaughter of the English language: even with capped Defense+ and HP+ skills, you'll save yourself about 1-2 hits at most. This is still not enough to survive a full combo from even the soldiers.
Think of Chaos as "Dante Must Die" mode. The mode is designed to make you pay through the nose if you get hit. You're not supposed to get hit, that's how you don't die.

Background note to the next critique: Hanzaemon gave a pretty detailed reply to the person asking the question, answering said question with the same reply as I stated above, just in different words. This next person refers back to Hanzaemons post and attempts to prove that he r teh godzorz at WOzorz. I state it in a neuron impeded typing language (read: retarded text) due to obvious reasons within the quote.

Capped weapon abilities mean all of jack-shit in this situation. Level 10 Ice/Flame/Bolt/whatever-the-hell-else is sure going to save you when you're getting pummeled. (end sarcasm)
For the record, 6/8 abilities were level 10 at the time, on a level 4 weapon. The one skill was level 8 and the other was (I believe) level 2, possibly higher.
Full maxed abilities: well, I answered that above. Not going to waste my time repeating myself.
It just really sounded like someone was jealous that someone else had a level 99 character, probably before them.

I would like to add that you obviously know nothing about this game. The fact that youd expect people to have capped skills after all of 6 hours of play time after the release shows that you either A) dont have the game, B) havent read jack-shit about the game, C) have no sense of time and what can be done in the game within a restricted period of time, D) you lack a life entirely, allowing you to play a video game for 24 hours straight, every day from the release (seeing as the US had the game 2 days before Canada). I would add the statement retarded to option C, but that would be gracing you with an excuse which you dont have.

While on a normal basis I would agree with this guy, he's overlooked 2 crucial points.
The first being that: if you're getting within striking range in Chaos, you're just asking to die. I decided to test this point earlier by meleeing an officer. Much like when your defense is high enough, the normal soldier attacks will not stun you, the same goes for Chaos officers. Your attacks will not stun them, therefore they can and will start a combo while you're hitting them. Thankfully, I was smart enough to run the test while I had a full Musou bar, otherwise that would have been the end of me.
The other overlooked point: the Range weapon buff has no use for Mitsuhide in this situation. There's a reason why I use him for farming. Where you suggested Zhao Yun and Guan Ping with the larger weapons, you're still mainly getting into melee range of the enemies.
You can play it almost completely safe with Mitsuhide. His forward and R1 is longer range than most people's attack with a level 10 range, including those two. At the same time, it stuns long enough that you can fire out the next one. If you time it properly, it'll be like a stream, but you can't just spam it otherwise you get the move where he launches forward spinning. Just requires some simple timing, which it ridiculously easy to get down. You can literally hold an opponent in place and keep on smacking them around with the projectiles, it's just a matter of air-dashing away if soldiers surround you from the back, then repeating the tactic with the horde instead of a single enemy.
To avoid being surrounded: I suggest using the R3 map, or in my case, just have a good sense of who and what's around you when you rush in to fight. Either that or just start the fight not in the middle like most people do, chip into the horde.
