Ryu - Shotokan Mode
If there was one word to describe Ryu, the word would have to be average. He's the most balanced character in the game with his attack, defense, and speed being all the same and in the average areas at that. He has combos, which are all average, not too long, and not too short. The combos do average damage. (I'm sorry if I used the word "average" too many times, but there really is no other word to describe him.)

Hadoken - QCF+P

Tatsumaki Senpu Kyaku - QCB+K
Hop Kick - F+MK

Combos
D+FP, U+WP, U+WK, U+MK, QCF+2P
This is a air combo that requires 1 super level. In this combo, you launch them, hold up during the WP and WK and then use that held up on the MK. The up and MK will make Ryu kick them up into the air a bit instead of ending the air combo. After you kick them up into the air a bit more, cancel the MK into the Shinku Hadoken to finish the air combo.
D+WK, D+MK, D+FK, QCB+2K
In this combo, you use 2 hits into a sweep then cancel the sweep into a Shinku Tatsumaki Senpu Kyaku. The little vortex that sucks the opponents in normally will suck them upwards into the kick instead this time. The super will hit for it's full damage, but this is a nice little set up into it.
FF+WP, FP, QCF+FP, QCF+2P
In this combo, hit them with a weak punch then a fierce punch. (Don't throw in a medium or it won't work properly.) Cancel the fierce punch into a Hadoken, and cancel that out as soon as it comes out into a Shinku Hadoken for massive damage.
D+WK, D+FP, DPM+2P
This does quiet a bit of damage and more hits than you would expect. First, you launch them, then you do a Shin Shoryuken. Normally the Shin Shoryuken will hit for 3 hits of massive damage. This time, since the opponent is in the air, it will hit them for 7 hits and send them away. This does quite a bit of damage and should be used whenever possible.
