Every Spring the Clan of F.A.E.R.I.E. gathers together to hold their Spring Celebration. This year the Elden of the Clan received a parchment from Emir Mamoon of the Oasis City of the Silver Moon requesting their aid. The aid he sought from the group of fey was to help him find an Ancient Relic of Great Power. The Emir stated that this Relic was recorded in his tribe's propechies as being the item that would stop the catastrophe from destroying his & the neighboring desert kingdoms. The Elden of F.A.E.R.I.E. agreed to use the Gathering of F.A.E.R.I.E. as a neutral meeting ground, so that people from all parts of the desert could gather and work together without waring between them. The Vizier to Emir Mamoon, & the Emir's Djinn traveled to meet the Elden to discuss the details of the festival.
The problem arose when the Vizier told the Elden that the fest could not be held at Yarrow's Haven, as all the gathers past had been. The Vizer stated that the Celebration could only be held at one place inall the Realm of the Myste, a very magical place that appeared only once every 1,000 years for 3 days and then would vanish and not be seen for another 1,000 years. It was there, at the Oasis of 1,000 years that the ancient Relic had to be summoned. It was there that the 3 Artifacts that summoned the Relic were hidden. So it was there that the Spring Celebration HAD to be held. So the word went out across the land that the Spring Celebration would not be held at Yarrow's Haven, but at the Oasis of 1,000 years.
To summon the Relic, the Vizier informed the Elden of F.A.E.R.I.E., 3 Artifacts must be found and brought together. These 3 Artifacts would fuse and become the ancient Relic when the proper rites were performed over them. But, the Vizier stated, these Artifacts would only appear to those who proved themselves worthy of them. It seemed that each Artifact represented one of 3 professions, those being Mage, Warrior & Thief. Tests & trails were designed to find those most worthy to be the "Hands of the Artifacts".
At the lush Oasis of 1,000 years, peoples gathered from the various Desert Empires & tribes. Small Harams, or neutral sites, were set up by some of the visiting diginitaries. Contests were held for the banners of the tribes & the campsites in the marketplace. All had to watch their purses, however, for it was rumored that 'thieves' roamed the marketplace searching for special purses of red painted with a golden diamond. When not participating in the tests to find the 3 Artifacts, guests could visit these places to rest & reflect, stroll through the shade of the Oasis' small jungle, visit the marketplace or sample the desert fare available at the Agora Bazaar.
As Twilight fell, the tables were placed on the ground, as is the desert fashion, and the washing of the hands was done. After that custom was complete, the feast was brought out by the mistresses of the kitchens & all enjoyed the meal under the open sky. After all had eaten their fill, the guests gathered in the torchlit marketplace to watch the entertainers perform their arts and learn who were the winners of each trial were. The most worthy of the days trials were announced and the 3 Artifacts appeared. The Vizier gathered together these 3 "Hands" and led them to his Haram to perform the rite to summon the Relic. In a flash of light the 3 became one and the Relic was brought out for all to see. The 3 were then awarded with gifts of thanks from the Emir Mamoon by his Vizier. The Entertainment went on into the night & the raffles & Auctions for the exotic desert items were held. The Festival had summoned the Relic and the Emir's request of the Fey had been fufilled.
