Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) Degree

  The Haworth College of Business offers many majors in its B.B.A. degree program. The B.B.A. is the top business degree worldwide and is externally accredited (AACSB). Of the 260 universities offering this prestigious degree, Western Michigan University is normally among the top 10 universities in number of B.B.A. degrees awarded. Students complete the Pre-Business Curriculum of 60 cr. hrs. at Sunway College. They transfer to the U.S. to complete the degree of 122 cr. hrs. and complete the Professional B.B.A. Curriculum & a Business major. B.B.A.‘s receive extensive corporate executive training and develop specialized business expertise in a major, built on a solid base of pre-business studies and general perspective subjects. One-half of the degree program is pursued in the United States where outstanding computer facilities, instruction (from top professors), and library resources (3.3 million books) offer exciting, ‘state-of-the-art’ education in the world’s most diverse and innovative business environment.

   Western Michigan University, a state supported (public, not private) university, is one of North America’s top-rated young universities. 50th largest in the United States, it offers undergraduate degrees in nearly 170 areas.    True-Twinning provides students with guaranteed admission to Western Michigan University if they meet the minimum academic standard of the university (at least CGPA 2.0). Pre-business students must have a CGPA of at least 2.5 for admission to pursue the B.B.A., according to AACSB standards. Students are guaranteed a place in their major field. Students are counselled by the Resident Director from Western Michigan University. All subjects passed at Sunway College are accepted by the University. True-twinning saves time & money. In Malaysia & the U.S., 3 semesters per year are offered so that most students may complete their degree in 3.5 years after SPM. This is also a transfer program to other top U.S. universities (not guaranteed). This is a proven program, with more than 1,500 students sent to the U.S. There are 3 intakes per year.

   Studies at Sunway College include the compulsory Pre-Business Curriculum as well as general education subjects required of all students. (U.S. universities require general education regardless of degree program; this is a key feature of U.S. higher education designed to stimulate self-reliant learning, critical thinking, & adaptability to change.) Students do not need to decide their specific business major until they transfer to the U.S. Studies to be completed at Sunway College are as follows:

1. Complete 60 credit hours with an average mark of at least "CB" (CGPA 2.5).

2. Complete the Pre-Business Curriculum with at least a "C" grade in the following subjects:
