When world-renowned artist Wylie Johnstone is murdered inside his studio, the only witness is Sinead O'Connor, a neighbor's calico cat. Ingrid Beaumont, former Clover Leaf, present buddy-cop film soundtrack composer, is quick to point out she is not a detective nor even an amateur sleuth, Which explains why she is not pleased that Wylie's legacy to her is an enigmatic painting of Doris Day and an elephant joke. Ingrid must sift through an eccentric group of old high school friends and enemies to identify Wylie's killer before she becomes the next victim! I absolutely loved this book. It's fast pace kept me glued to the pages and it's many twists and turns kept me guessing til the very end. I am presently standing on Denise Dietz's front porch impatiently tapping my foot, waiting for the next Ingrid Beaumont adventure...I sure hope it doesn't start raining!
