This is Marilyn Meredith's (writing as F. M. Meredith) new e-book available from http://www.fictionworks.com. I was surprised at how quickly Meredith's writing pulled me into this fast-paced police procedural. I picked it up one night as I was settling down for bed and the next thing I knew it was after midnight and I was way too engrossed to put it down! I finished it in the wee hours of the morning. It was creepy and realistic enough to give me the willies and make me paranoid of the creaks and groans the house was making. An engrossing read and I recommend leaving the lights on until well after you've finished it!
