THE DEADHOUSE |

Linda's books just keep getting better and better. She has a superb ability to blend history and fiction seamlessly and her richly descriptive scenes of Manhattan before terrorism changed the skyline forever were so detailed I felt like I was actually there. In THE DEADHOUSE, assistant DA Alexandra Cooper and her police cohorts Mike Chapman and Mercer Wallace find their Christmas season dampened by the death of Professor Lola Dakota. When Lola is found strangled at the bottom of an elevator shaft, Alex finds herself drawn into the investigation even though it's really not her jurisdiction. Who killed Lola Dakota? Was it her abusive ex-husband? One of her disgruntled coworkers? And what's the meaning of "The Deadhouse", words found scrawled on a piece of paper in the dead woman's pocket? You'll have to read the book for the answers! |
