German Lentil Soup

ingredients

2 cups dried lentils, rinsed and drained
3 cups chicken stock
1 bay leaf
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
1 cup cooked, cubed ham		 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
5 drops hot sauce
1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper


directions

  • Place all ingredients in crock pot.

  • Cover and cook on low heat, 8 to 10 hours.

  • Remove bay leaf before serving.
