Chili Lover's Chili

1-1/2 lbs ground beef

1 large onion, diced

1 large red pepper, chopped

1 large green pepper, chopped

1 garlic clove, minced

3 Tbsp chili powder

1-1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1/2 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)

1 can (28 oz) tomatoes in puree

1 can (15 oz) kidney beans

3 Tbsp tomato paste

1 can (12 oz) beer

2 Tbsp molasses

Over high heat, brown ground beef with onions, peppers, and garlic -- stirring frequently.� Cook until all pan juice evaporates and beef is well browned (about 30 minutes).� Stir in remaining ingredients and heat to boiling.� Cover and simmer over low heat for 30 to 35 minutes.� Skim fat.
