| Brown beef in oil.
� Add onions and garlic and saut� until tender.� Add chili powder, oregano,
salt, green chiles, tomato sauce, and water.� Bring to a boil.� Stir in rice,
cover and remove from heat.� Let stand 5 minutes.� Sprinkle with shredded cheese
and cover until ready to serve.�� Ground beef can be substituted for the lean
beef, but omit the oil. Makes 4 servings. � |
