8/10. Cady Heron (Lohan) is a hit with The Plastics, the A-list girl clique at her new school, until she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels (Bennett), the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George (McAdams)
When I first saw the previews of this movie, I was kind of skeptical. Actually, the previews make you think that the movie is actually different from what it seems. During the previews, you think Lohan's character is being harassed by a group of girls, but Lohan actually has a different group of friends, a lesbian, and a gay guy. Those group of people convince her to go with the "Plastics", the super popular people at school. See, the head of the advertising department left this part of the plot out to, I guess, attract more people to the movie. I just wasn't sure what I was getting.
The acting throughout the movie is good, and I was pretty well fooled too. We all know that this is in a high school setting but the characters are not high schoolers except Lohan. Rachel Mcadams (Regina George) is 28, Lacey Chabert(Gretchen Weiners) is 23 or 22, and the other one is 23 or 22. Though, the "Plastics" as dubbed by the lesbian girl are the most popular and prettyist girls in school. Wait, rewind here. No, those girls are not what I call hot. If you want a girl that's hot, go look at Lohan, or maybe, maybe Lacey Chabert. But Rachel and the other girl were not hot.
Lindsay Lohan had a spectacular performance, and I feel like I could relate in a way. Her character seems shy and laid back, actually most of her characters seem sort of like that, and she just really looked like she had fun. I actually went onto imdb.com and there was a post about her boobs being fake. Now that really kind of made me laugh, and I doubt they were fake. Tina Fey was actually semi to 75% funny in this movie. She's good, and I think she'll be sort of successful after her SNL stint.
All in all, I really liked this movie, and I think most people should see it.
