Rater #1
6/10. Sassy postgrad Elle Woods (Witherspoon) is all about animal rights. In fact, she puts her nuptial plans on hold to head to Washington D.C. to get an anti-animal testing bill passed. Her building's doorman (Newhart) quickly shows her the ways and workings of our nation's capital.
All I can say is that this movie was better than my expectations but then again my expectations were set considerably low. This movie was an unneeded sequel that really for the most part was worthless. There were some funny jokes that were in there like the Gay dogs, but that was truly about it.
Witherspoon did a fine job again, but certain camera angles had to hide the fact that she is going to have a baby within the next few months. Though a funny plot twist would have her have the baby during the movie, and say that her and Wilson had premarital sex. But whatever. Luke Wilson really wasn't needed for the sequel. He had about 5 minutes of screen time. Then the friend's of Witherspoon's character were in there for 10 minutes. The only one I truly enjoyed was the doorman, who was ratherly funny at times.
All in all, this movie was another part of the summer sequel burnout.
