The story of the discovery and investigation of the outbreak of AIDS

Rater #1
7/10. I guess. This movie was as the description says is about the outbreak of AIDS. It goes through the back story and theories and other stuff about AIDS. One theory of how it got started was through Gay Homosexuals. I don't really think I need to go farther than that.
Let's just head straight to the acting. The acting was fairly good. I'm pretty sure I have the correct cast list. During the movie, I forgot what most of the characters names were, but that might have been because I was a little bored. Sitting in an uncomfortable chair while watching a movie isn't my forte. Anyway, for all you LOTR fans, Ian McKellen starred in the movie. I won't exactly say what his part was because I don't exactly find it right. Matthew Modine was a great actor. He really made the movie go by much faster because it sometimes went by very slowly.
Some of the pictures that this movie paints in your mind aren't the prettiest. If I were to grade the movie solely on that, I would give it a 3/10. It was just gross what some of the actors had to be put through, and how they all died, and other stuff like that.
I've heard that the MPAA rating for this is R, but when I saw the movie there wasn't much to give it an R Rating. Maybe PG-13 at most. Though supposedly, there was another version of this movie made which goes through some of the bath houses, and.....other stuff like that.
All in all, this movie was a good movie, but I'm no sure about the rating. It was a good movie because it really gives you a good background of how AIDS started.
