8.5/10 Great movie. Very serious, but it was very interesting. Why this was rated R is beyond me. It seems like PG, but I saw the TV version, so that's probably why.
An army private dies while stationed in Cuba who appears to have been killed during a Code Red. The man appears to have died under the hand of two privates who claimed they were given orders to give him the code red. Now its up to Lt. J.G. Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) to take up their case and defend them against charges of murder.
The plot was a little dull, and the movie ran a little too long (I mean it was almost two and a half hours long!). There wasn't much suspense or action of any kind, which almost made the movie seem like a legal documentary at some points. It was also kind of stupid that the two main characters, Kaffee and Galloway (Demi Moore), didnt' fall in love, but I guess that would've been too predictable.
Rated R.
