Some of the artists that Rogier van Otterloo helped on their own albums participate on this album, like Toots Tielemans (mouth organ on "Two of a kind") and Thijs van Leer (plays flute on "A lullaby") and others. "Help" was written for a Dutch film called "Help de dokter verzuipt" (Help the doctor is drawing) after the novel of Toon Kortooms. Munich "74 needs no further explanation, Rogier was a lover of football and hoped that the Orange team would win the cup. "Strollin' around" is my favourite song, it's so relaxed!
The liner notes of "Visions" are written by Ruud Jacobs, who also produced the Introspection albums. The liner notes of "On the move" are written by Pim Jacobs his older brother. They were both in the (jazz) Trio Pim Jacobs, Pim (who died last year) playing the piano and Ruud playing the double-bass.
They often accompanied jazz singer Rita Reys, wife of Pim.
Ruud's former wife Thea (with whom he has 4 children) is the present
wife (for more than 20 years) of Thijs van Leer! How about that, what a small world!
