06/nov/97 I would just like to say hello. I used to live in an area in southern Iowa where you couldn't get good FM reception and I heard Hocus-Pocus when it just came out and really got off on it. I also got high for the first time before I heard that song and the yodeling really floored me. I just got Hamburger concerto last week and really wished that they would have stayed the Prog route, because they played some nice pastoral music. I also wrote to see if you could pass this on to others and see if anyone would like to swap videos of prog band old and contemporary ones. I think I have a few minutes of a Focus documentary. I need to search for it. Here's my list and I'll be getting about 40 hours more shortly. Thank You Reno Faoro
03/nov/97 Caro Rodrigo Antes de mais nada, parabens pela pagina do Focus.Atraves dela fiquei sabendo do cd 10.000 ...on a rainy day. Fantastico. Compei atraves de um amigo em Londres. O disco eh o maximo. Vi voce comentando sobre alguns videos do Focus. Eu possuo o video do Live at Rainbown, mas a qualidade eh fraca( do programa de tv brasileiro da decada de 70). Voce teria uma copia boa deste video ? Possuo uma grande colecao de videos ( mais de 600 titulos) de musica para todos os gostos, inclusive muita coisa progressiva. Focus is one of my favorite bands, and maybe the one that I want more to see on a stage, among the bands I've never seen live... probably King Crimson would be my other choice ! I'd love to chat about Focus, but I'm afraid my knowledge on current events with ex-Focus band members is quite limited. 04/oct/97 Rodrigo, I'm just connected to the Internet and was excited to see your page, having been a Focus fan since the beginning. At school, four of us had a band and we even played 'Hocus Pocus' - no, none of us could yodel, but I manged to play the yodel part on the guitar! It's a shame I was too late to catch the Focus concert on 30/08/97 because I would certainly have gone. If you know any other dates, please let me know. Also, I'm searching for a video copy of the Nederland 3 TV 'Single Luck' documentary about Focus, as well as the dutch television re-union concert. Best regards, Chris Monks
30/sep/97 Checked in again after awhile, and I'm excited to find out about the reunion & new solo albums! However, I'm also distressed that I hadn't heard about any of this anywhere else! Can anyone refer me to a source (preferably in the US) for the solos? Also, since the reunion seems to have occurred already, does anyone have video or audio of any of the shows? Also, here's to hoping the demos will bear fruit in the near future! Hadley Kahn

23/sep/97 Caro Rodrigo: Estou muito feliz por ter encontrado esta p�gina maravilhosa na Internet. Ap�s pesquisar na rede, encontrei o site Rock Progressivo Brasil, mantido pelo Cesar Lanzarini. Ao encontrar sites sobre Rock Progressivo, me sinto como um viajante que, ap�s milhas e milhas no meio de um deserto, encontra um o�sis maravilhoso. Tenho certeza que apesar de todos os modismos bestas que insistem em fazer as pessoas acreditarem que a m�sica morreu, o Rock Progressivo sempre esteve vivo, provando que a verdadeira m�sica sempre resistir� a todas as adversidades. N�o sei qual a sua liga��o com Waldir Montanari, mas se voc� o v� freq�entemente, por favor, diga-lhe que eu, Roberto Garcia Morrone, o considero um her�i, porque n�o � fac�l lutar pelo Rock Progressivo num pa�s t�o carente de cultura como este. Talvez Waldir se lembre de mim, porque nestes anos todos depois que ele deixou de apresentar programas no r�dio (tenho muitas saudades do Sinergia), escrevi algumas cartas para ele. Espero ainda ter a oportunidade de conhec�-lo pessoalmente, porque ele � um dos meus �dolos, juntamente com m�sicos como Peter Hammill, Dave Brock, Robert Fripp e tantos outros que sempre mantiveram a sua dignidade, abra�ando a causa do Rock Progressivo e jamais se entregando � m�sica comercial e barata. 03/sep/97 Hi... Do you know anywhere on the net that I can find a sound clip from Hocus Pocus by Focus? My friends say they have no idea who I am talking about, but I know if they heard some of the tune they would remember right away. By the way...Hocus Pocus is now being used in a commercial here in the states. I would imagine others are thinking more about them again as a result. Looking forward to hearing from you.
