Montour started things off right this pre-season with a convincing win over AAA Shaler at Harmarville Bladerunner's tonight by the score of 4-1. Four separate Spartans tallied all of the goals. The Spartans who scored were Chad Talotta, Mario Panucci, Ross Polk, and Dan Shiwarski . Montour senior defenseman Brian Dugan tallied 2 assists for the Spartans as well. Goalie Nick Gialloreto shut out Shaler through the first period and a half . Montour peppered Shaler's goalie, Ben Burns , with several shots. Burns played an excellent game and kept Shaler close. Al Gore played solidly for the Titans, creating some scoring chances. |

Montour finished as the runner-up at the Congressional Pre-Season Challenge
this past weekend.
