DESCRIPTION:
Sisi Chen is a chinese artist who grew up in china and
studied music
at the Sichuan Conservatory, and right after her graduation
she began
performing in china. In 1990 she set base in New York,
where now as
professional she performs solo as well as with the Chinese
Music
Ensemble of New York. In this solo performance, Chen
exhibits a
masterful control over the yangqin instrument (the Chinese
hammered
dulcimer), delivering moments of serenity and excitement
using images
from nature.
