Oscar-nominated director will screen film in
Santa Fe

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A new political movie set in Colorado will be shown in Colorado Springs, Denver and Santa Fe before opening in theaters.

Screenings also are scheduled in Santa Fe to benefit local and national non-profit groups.

Oscar-nominated director John Sayles shot
Silver City in Denver and Leadville, Colorado last year.  The political satire takes aim at President Bush.

The movie stars Kris Kristofferson, Daryl Hannah, country singer Steve Earle, Cheech Marin, Mary Kay Place, and former "Waltons" father Ralph Waite.

It centers around a man running for governor of Colorado, and a disgraced investigative reporter.  The first screening is set for September 9th in Colorado Springs.
